Chapman Hill Winery
This award winning winery is minutes away from the cabin. The owners are very gracious and hospitable. Just make sure you try the wine slushies, they are incredible.

McCloud Mountain Restaurant is much more than a great place to eat it is a mountain top paradise. Just going up the mountain and enjoying the relaxing views is worth the trip. Once you go there, you will agree there is something magical about this place. Couples just seem to hold hands whenever they leave.

Please note that the restaurant is located on a private mountain and reservations are required to go past the main gate. Make sure you give yourself enough time to enjoy the mountain before you eat.

Museum of Appalachia
The Museum of Appalachia is a living history museum — a pioneer mountain farm-village that lends voice to the people of Southern Appalachia through the artifacts and stories they left behind.
​
The museum is 65 acres of amazing history, I have been there several times and still look forward to my next visit.

Be sure to eat lunch in the restaurant, the home cooking is delicious.

Norris Lake Dam
The Norris Lake Dam is a free attraction that the family can enjoy. There are several viewing areas available along with great hiking trails. Make sure you bring a picnic basket with you because once you see the picnic area, you will be glad you came prepared.
